Information for authors

  1. The Publishing House of the Internal Security Agency accepts for publication in the biannual “Terrorism – studies, analyses, prevention” scientific articles on issues related to anti-terrorist protection and building resilience to terrorist threats in the national and international perspectives.
  2. Articles should be submitted via the editorial tab available at: https://ojs.ejournals.eu/Terroryzm/about/submissions.
  3. Articles should be submitted by 30th August (March edition) and 30th January (September edition).
  4. The article submitted for publication (including bibliography, abstract, key words and illustrations) cannot extend 20 pages. Review’s preferred length – at maximum 10 pages. The text of the abstract should not be longer than 1100 characters with spaces.
  5. The layout of an original scientific article:
    Title (in Polish and English).
    Abstract (in Polish and English) – short presentation of the aim of the paper, methods used for the study, its results and conclusions.
    Key words (in Polish and English), from three to five words. 
    Introduction – contains information on the subject of the research, describes in short the reasons why it has been undertaken and essential data from the literature on the similar studies. It is necessary to clarify the research problem, its aim and justification as well as decribe the methods used.
    The main part, structured by the author – presentation of the research results, analyses.
    Conclusions – reference to the aim of the article described in the introduction and to the results.
    Suggestions how they might be used in the future. Bibliography – in alphabetical order, divided into categories: books, journals, Internet sources, legal acts.
  6. The layout of a review article:
    Title (in Polish and English).
    Abstract (in Polish and English).
    Key words (in Polish and English), from three to five words.
    Introduction.
    The main part, structured by the author.
    Summary and conclusions.
    Bibliography – in alphabetical order, divided into categories: books, journals, Internet sources, legal acts.
  7. By submitting articles to the Publishing House of the Internal Security Agency, authors agree to their content (substantive) editing, copyediting (line editing) and proofreading, in accordance with linguistic standards and Polish publishing requirements. 
  8. By submitting articles to the Publishing House of the Internal Security Agency, the author consents to the information about the article being published in scientific databases, on the Internal Security Agency official website and on Scientific Journals Online portal of Jagiellonian University.
  9. Authors of the articles that have been qualified for publishing sign agreements on the transfer of copyrights to the publisher.
  10. Authors of the articles that have been published receive royalties.
  11. Authors are required to submit Author's consent for the publication of the article in the scientific journal  “Terrorism – studies, analyses, prevention” in its electronic version (scan) via the editorial tab.
  12. Co-authors are required to submit Co-author's consent for the publication of the article in the scientific journal “Terrorism – studies, analyses, prevention” in its electronic version (scan) via the editorial tab.
  13. Authors and co-authors are required to provide their ORCID IDs.
  14. The Publishing House of the Internal Security Agency does not return the submitted articles and reserves the right to refuse to publish them without giving a reason.
